If I may, how is it you came to see Fifty Shades already, opening as it does on the same day as John Wick and Batman?

Yeah, Felix. We need to have a chat about your viewing choices.

Also, what is a "CRACK WHORE" flashback? I'm scared I may have had one and not realized.

John Wick only opens next week here in Singapore. And my Batman Lego screening was sold out.

It's a flashback when he was a kid. I think his mom ODed with him watching.

Oh, okay. Not had one of those. My mom always knew her limits when it came to crack.

That's not how I remember it.

I am soooo gonna get dragged to that Fifty Shades movie :'(
post #32110 of 32143

Sure, Fraid. Putting a woman's jacket on the seat next to you and then looking impatiently at both the empty seat and your watch whenever someone new enters the screen isn't going to fool anyone.

Believe me - I've tried it.

But will you make an attention-whoring list and then blab about being robbed of it?

Box office results rarely make me happy, but this does.

After this weekend, Sing will have outgrossed Moana by 20 million. That makes me sad for the children of today.
Looks like CURE FOR WELLNESS pulled in about 4 million this weekend. Woooo boy!
Once I heard it was two and a half hours, I was like 'oh, no thanks'.

2 and half hours???  And it's a thriller?  No wonder it tanked.

And THE GREAT WALL goes down in flames.

Come on. Don't you all like an army of Green CGI monsters trying to climb up a wall, with an All Girl's Bunjee Team trying to slash at them?

I did in this instance!

After this, I wonder how much a major Chinese production will attempt to boost international appeal by casting a Hollywood star (generally white)?

Of course, the movie may have done so-so here, but it seems to be doing fine internationally.  But it seems like that would've been the case even without Matt Damon.

Actually, I just looked up Last Witch Hunter's take and it didn't do too badly!

$147 million worldwide with $119 million of it from international (though it cost $90 million)

THAT DIESEL MAGIC!!!

did it help LONG HALF-TIME WALK???

No, because Diesel magic has only achieved peak potency in recent years...

I still want another Riddick movie

Same here.

Arrival is just on the verge of crossing $100 million domestic and Passengers might just make it there (it's going to be close.)

Split continues to bank.  Great legs.

It's Nights biggest dom hit since the Signs.  And it cost about 63M less.
