That is a great scene, as well as the part later on where he delivers that epic headbutt to Garcia in the elevator.

Oh my. Even now, that movie is incredible for how it polarizes people and causes so much conflict among film fans.
I just presumed you saw it already due to some of the people involved. I am glad you can rate it highly.
He would have been 93.
Yeah, that movie... even if it didn't have that scene where you briefly see the just-developing breasts of a girl who was like 12 years old, I'd still have been disappointed by it for other reasons.
Well, there are various lists from other people I have liked but there's no easy way to sort through all those. I have created various lists of my own but they aren't as creative or out there as some people on Letterboxd have come up with. The lists I do are either centered around a particular actor/director, a genre, a franchise of movies, or are the best of a particular year. The link to all those public lists I have created is here.
If I did, I wouldn't have had the time for it anyhow.
It's awesome you got to go there today, even if it was work-related and of course you wanted to spend more time in NYC.
I am not Molti but I should watch it myself in the future as I've seen the original before.
Tonight I won't be watching anything and because of my schedule it may be a few days before I watch anything. I can't complain as I saw 5 movies on the big screen in the span of about 24 hours.
Gere is unhinged in Internal Affairs. If memory serves, that was his comeback role before Pretty Woman pushed him back into the center of the A-list.
I haven't seen either No Mercy or Breathless, but I know of Tarantino's preference to the Godard original and an anecdote Erix told me ages ago of seeing that in the theater. My stepdad had it on VHS as a two-pack with The Hot Spot (which I've still never seen except for, uh...).
Elvis, you're the resident Gerehead. Would he say he was the Ryan Gosling of his time? They have similar charisma and acting angles regarding badassery and romance.
Early Gere had an energy I don't think Gosling has. In the 90's Gere kind of settled into this movie star groove that I can see Gosling similarly aging into.
