Get yourself a former governor who can mock the murder of Jews and transgender people simultaneously:

Eh, I don't think this was a slight against trans people. This man thought Quint killed the shark in JAWS. Who knows what he thinks that movie is about.

He'll receive no such credit from me. I'd bet my last dollar that Huckabee was, at least once in his life, really conflicted about how attracted he was to Hillary Swank dressed up as a boy.

I'm just going to report Trump's tweets as offensive from now on, see if I can't ban his fat ass from Twitter.

I would say a full 90% of the chewers on these boards would make a better POTUS than 45. That includes most of the non-Americans.

I'd just have affairs.

Do we think that Trump is not trying to fuck some woman who works for him right now? That has to be happening. The idea that Trump isn't currently engaged in sexually coercing an intern or member of staff is impossible for me to imagine.

I'm reasonably certain my cat would make a better POTUS, and I'm seriously not even being flippant here.

Johnny, that's just locker room sexual harassment.

I suspect the only US President who hasn't tried to fuck everything in site was Nixon.

I don't get that from Obama. He'll check out an ass or two, but there wasn't a whiff of anything in 8 years.

I see what you did there.

An interesting take on why there aren't any protest songs out now...

I've made the same offer to my cat.  I can verify she's a naturalized citizen, and in cat years, she's currently old enough for the office.  Maybe we could strike a deal for her to be a running mate?

He could have just said that modern music stars have no balls, with limited talent and intellectual perspective / curiosity and are terrified of the people that pay them and been done with it. That said, Snoop Dogg has had some less than amiable words for Trump and anyone in the music industry (specifically black entertainers) who might support or perform for him, so there's that.

He's just not the type to write a protest song so much as a stinging diss track, which I suppose would stand as its own form of protest.

Horseshit. Unless you're going to go full meat-automaton determinist and say that nobody can be held responsible for their actions (in which case we'll still disagree but you'll at least be intellectually honest about it,) I don't want to hear any of this "they can't help it, it's just too impossible not to!" bull. These are (despite all available evidence in Trump's case) grown-ass men, not toddlers with no goddamn impulse control.

Ha. He breaks it down into several things...the one I disagree with is his comment about World Music. I think at some point there will a song that goes viral worldwide that is in fact a protest song.

Hip Hop would on the surface be the only music genre that could really bring out a bunch of Protest oriented songs/artists. His points about why that hasn't happened yet were interesting.

Obama knows what he has with Michelle.   He seems smart enough not to fuck that up.

I edited my post for a Snoop mention, but I don't necessarily think he's going to go much further than dissing Trump on social media. I don't really follow hip hop, so someone is going to have to tell me if there's a consensus that Kanye West is as much of a self-involved, morally circumspect fraud as he appears to be.

I dunno. I've just never accepted this notion that you can't hold people responsible for their behavior because such-and-such is a literally irresistible temptation. It's a cop-out, and it's especially nauseating in the context of people using positions of power to take advantage of others (i.e. presidents and women.) If somebody does that, they shouldn't get to avoid owning up to it; if people don't do that, they shouldn't make excuses for the people who do.

Well to clarify, I didn't mean to imply that Obama was forcing himself on anyone. But a quickie with a hot reporter or groupie? Would disappoint me but not shock me.

So I'm partially watching the Super Bowl via Streaming and thus far there have been one commercial touting Avocados from Mexico and a Coke commercial featuring a multi-lingual rendition of "America the Beautiful".

Holy shit there was an Anhauser Busch commercial featuring the founders of that company immigrating to America, being dissed as "U ain't from 'round heah!" before meeting and creating their beer.

This is pretty amazing.

Some guy on Twitter made a comment about the Busch commercial not distinguishing between civilized European immigrants and the "dangerous male immigrants" of today. This guy has brown skin and that matters in ways he's entirely too fucking blind to see.

So, I may be reading this wrong, but it sounds an awful lot like Trump may not have fully realized he was putting Bannon on the NSC when he signed that EO.

I would bet a thousand dollars that Drumpf has not read a single one of those executive orders.

Except the one ordering someone to get him a Big Mac.

Ha ha, poor Chris Christie still carrying water for Trump, still hoping that it will make anyone like him again. Do you think he and Ted Cruz just go out on Fridays and sit at the bar not-drinking a beer and staring hauntedly into the middle distance?

Is it? There are some very pertinent distinctions between Trump and Nixon (in that Nixon didn't come into office with Watergate in full swing), but the culture was very hostile to Tricky Dick before the end.

Ah, no, number 45. Thought we were going Alien3 "85" for a minute there.

That article is terrifying. In less serious news: Wife and kid in NY and basically no family photos around...not even for appearances? Some poor woman is definitely enduring a nightly three minutes of sheer misery. I can only hope that it's Conway or Pierson.

Trump appears to have done what he said he would, albeit later than promised. However...

Trump's two adult sons and Weisselberg are running the company while Trump is president, but Trump himself still financially benefits from it. Past precedent has been for presidents to sell off their holdings and place the cash into a truly blind trust — not one overseen by a family member — before taking office, even though there's no legal requirement to do so.

So he's still expecting us to believe he won't be looking for ways to make being president profitable for himself.

The ads running this SuperBowl represent millions of dollars of investment to promulgate a message that can easily result in vociferous backlash from a signifigant portion of the population. Not to mention watching their stocks tank if Trump Tweet Attacks them.

I'd have to check, but I doubt Nixon experienced that level of push back.

The ballsiest ad had to be Budweiser, since Drumpf supporters have to be the primary market for their swill.
